Halsey performs record release show in NYC

On October 25th, the day The Great Impersonator was released, Halsey performed at a special record release show at Brooklyn Paramount in Brooklyn, New York. She performed ‘Roman Holiday‘ for the first time since 2019, and also debuted ‘Panic Attack,’ ‘Hometown,’ ‘Dog Years,’ and ‘Lonely is the Muse.’ Halsey also covered Kate Bush’s ‘Running Up That Hill.’

Until ‘The Great Impersonator‘ releases on October 25th, Halsey will be impersonating a different icon every day and teasing a snippet of the song they inspired. Day #17 is Björk who inspired track 18, ‘The Great Impersonator.’ Halsey said this is her first album with a title track, influenced by “the coolest, most ethereal being to ever exist.” Check out the photos and snippet below:

Until ‘The Great Impersonator‘ releases on October 25th, Halsey will be impersonating a different icon every day and teasing a snippet of the song they inspired. Day #16 is Tori Amos who inspired track 14, ‘Life of the Spider.’ Halsey said she grew up on Amos and always considered her “in a class of her own.” She said ‘Life of the Spider’ is the most personal song on this album and it’s just her and her piano, because “that’s all Tori ever needed to rip your heart to shreds.” Check out the photos and snippet below:
