Halsey performed at Hollywood Forever in Los Angeles on October 14th as part of the Back to Badlands Tour. She performed “Badlands” in full, including “Garden” and “Is There Somewhere,” but minus the “I Walk the Line” cover and “Empty Gold.” Halsey also played some songs from her other albums and surprised fans by performing “Tokyo Narita (freestyle),” her song with Lido, for the first time ever live. Before performing this song, she said “Fuck Kanye, okay?” as the song references listening to his music. 3D glasses were provided to fans to use during “Lonely is the Muse.”

Halsey said that whenever she feels with her career, something knocks her on her ass and makes her have to work even harder. She used to feel sorry for herself about that, but now she feels like she can fail in front of us and it will be okay. Halsey also thanked the souls resting at Hollywood Forever cemetery for allowing her to perform here, adding that someone’s grandma is not happy about what she is doing onstage but she promises to wear pants tomorrow.

Halsey performed 30 songs in total. At one point, she said: “We have so much left to do, why do you think the show started at 7 fucking 30? It’s not just because you’re old now.” Halsey also said “the encore may change show to show.”
